One more off the to do list!

Well the closet is finally finished! Yeah! I looks fabulous! And can I just say, if you ever think you need more clothes, clean your closet! I never realized how many dressed I have, but what can I say I'm a girlie-girl, I love wearing dress, especially summer ones! So there might be a few more in my future!
Here's the before...

And here's the after...

I'd like to thank the DH for doing an amazing job, it's beautiful, just like you. XO

D.I.Y!

Well this weekend was spent emptying out the closet and painting it. I got rid of things I didn't want/wear but, by the height of the pile of clothes on the spare bedrooms bed, I will need to do that again! Today after work/gym I'll go buy the actual paint color (though it was tempting to leave the matte white primer on the walls) I'm thinking a very pale linen color. One coat tonight, and Wednesday the DH will start putting up the shelves. We went with Home Depots closet set-up in a nickel color and 2 wood shelfs from floor to ceiling. I'm thinking with the wood and the color it won't look too cheap. I want nice but refuse to pay $2,000 for a closet! I'm sure it will look great and be nice and organized, can't wait till it's finished!
With summer just around the corner I'm feeling a little overwhelmed. Because summer means yard work! So yard work + house work + art fairs = stress. To hopefully manage my time and relieve some stress I plan on dividing my time up to beading/art fair on Tuesdays after work and Sunday after gym. The other days will be for house or yard work, which ever is in more need. We'll see how that works out!
Blah, blah, blah enough about me go to this blog and check out her pictures of Italy. One of the place's I must see before I die!
I mean the art alone is a lifetime of vacations!

Just want to nest

I came across another online magazine (thanks Tobi). It's called Lonny and if you like decorating you should really check it out.

I love to decorate, I'm a nester, every room in our home is like a nest. Spring is coming (can you feel it?) and I want to make a new nest. Right now that energy is going into redoing our master bedroom closet. So tonight when I get home from work I'll measure it for the second time. Remember the rule, measure twice, cut once. And by cut I mean buy costly Closet Accessories. It's more work than you might think. Gut it, decide what clothes to keep, pitch, give away. Paint. Install new closet. Re-hang old clothes. Do happy dance, go to bed exhausted!
